In this final conversation of the stretch podcast for the year 2020 I am introducing you to e amazingly talented Pumeza. We begin the conversation on a scary note of her contracting and surviving Covid-19 a few months ago. then we move on to talk about her discovery and love for Opera how it took her all over the world and in big stages and orchestras. She shares her experience of living in London, Germany and now in Berlin. We here her views on the different cultures. Bio
Pumeza Matshikiza is an internationally recognized Soprano from South Africa and a Graduate of the Royal College of Music, London. As a member of the Royal Opera's Jette Parker Young Artists Programme from 2007 to 2009, she made her debut as a flower maiden in Parsifal. Since then Pumeza has gone on to sing leading soprano roles with worldclass orchestras and conductors. She performed at the Royal Opera House, Opera North, Teatroall Scalla, Theatre des Champs-Elysees, Stuttgart Opera, and Opera National du Rhin. She is an exclusive recording artist in Decca.
