Human Rights day is one of the most important public holidays in South Africa due to the historical events that took place in 1960 where 69 people where gunned down and killed for demanding their human rights. On the Stretch Podcast we try to remain conscious of what truly matters and will strive to bring guest who will tackle relevant and crital topics.
In this episode Sandile Msibi and I attempt to answer the following questions:
- What are we referring to when we speak of human rights
- In an ideal world what would human rights look like
- Is that Ideal possible? If so what will it take
- How should we think about human rights in the context of South African history and in our present day
It is a complex conversation as you will hear, we leave you the listner with more questions than answers which is always better.
