The Stretch Podcast is a space where I share my thoughts on matters of personal transformation, emotional wellbeing and spiritual growth. My teachings are largely based on what I’ve learnt through reading, observed and experienced over the years. The podcast is also a space where i have conversations with people whose work and life experiences has inspired and helped me grow. People who are not only experts in their fields but have open hearts, generous spirits and are teachers in their own right and are perpetual students of life.

In this episode, I converse with Sthabiso Mthethwa about 'Adulting' and its association with millennials. Indeed, the term 'Adulting' emerged with this generation, encapsulating the complexities of adulthood in the 21st century.
The discussion spans numerous topics, beginning with Sthabiso's personal history, his choice of dance over IT, upbringing by a single mother, relocation to Johannesburg, and delving into dance, relationships, parenting, success, career, and more.
Bio
Sithabiso Mthethwa also known as Staby is a dancer born and raised in KwaZulu Natal South Africa. His love for dance started when he was 14 years old when he used to watch music videos on t.v and try copy what the dancers were doing, musicians such as Michael Jackson, Usher Raymond, Chris Brown and many more. he spent the rest of his high school life studying the art of dance, being mentored by some of the best dancers in and around South Africa.
He Moved to Johannesburg in the year 2014 where he began his professional career in dance. His primary styles are in Krump and HipHop. Since launching his dance career, Staby has been casted in some of the country’s biggest shows and gracing the stage locally and internationally.

I this episode I am in conversation with Rev. Dr Diane Johnson, the conversation is broad and global covering matters that affect humanity right such as the ongoing wars in the Gaza and the Congo, American politics, South African History, Leadership in Corporate and organizations and much more all in an effort to find balance in an unbalanced world.

Dr. Diane Johnson is CEO and Founder of Mmapeu Consulting, a national organizational and leadership transformation firm committed to aligning mission, vision and values for social enterprises, philanthropic institutions, the social sector, purpose-driven businesses, B Corps, tech companies and market leaders. She is deeply committed to creating dynamic, sustainable and equitable models of market and community benefits.
Since 1992, Diane has consulted, facilitated and trained on strategic development; cultural capacity, diversity, inclusion and equity; organizational development, institutional capacity building, leadership development, collaboration and community engagement, program design, program evaluation and leadership development for over 12,000 organizations and leaders.
Clients have included the California Primary Care Association, the Kresge Foundation, the San Francisco Department of Public Health, the American Sustainable Business Network, SOCAP, Opportunity Collaboration, Habitat for Humanity International, NeighborWorks America, HUD, the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, and Unitarian Universalist Association.
She has been fortunate enough to work in South Africa, Mexico, Zambia and Zimbabwe. Diane received her doctorate in Interdisciplinary Studies (sociology, organizational behavior, management and non-profit studies) from Tufts University. Her dissertation focused on cross-sectoral leadership and collaboration between the business, government, social and community sectors. She holds a Masters in Nonprofit Management from the New School and her undergraduate degree in Communications with a marketing minor is from The University of Pennsylvania – The Annenberg School of Communications and The Wharton School.
Dr. Johnson also received her master’s in divinity from the Pacific School of Religion at the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, CA, and is an ordained minister in the progressive Christian denomination of the United Church of Christ. Her faith-based work focuses on the intersection of spirituality, social change and equity, including working with numerous interfaith initiatives. She now lives in Massachusetts with her adorable Aussie, basset hound and corgi mix, Jasper, who loves chasing the cat, Sweet Pea.

Pebetsi Viola R Charnley.
I qualified as a Hot Bikram yoga teacher from the India School of Yoga in Lons Angeles USA in 2012 and as a Vinyasa yoga teacher from Joga Yoga school in Bali Indonesia in 2022. I have since taught yoga in Bangkok , Phuket , Kenya and all over south Africa. I also teach Hoolahooping and i am Thai Yoga massage therapist in training. I have recently published a book about my journey to motherhood and how the practice of yoga helped me cope with the journey.
I do teach yoga from LOVE all I ask for is that you bring an open mind and a happy smiley face!!!

Morden day stokvels that are investment and long term focused, could be one of the solutions to economic freedom for black people. With the right intentions and less consumerism mindset, stokvels could potentially solve generational poverty - and that is at the heart of my conversation with Dr. Marumo
Bio
Dr Pallo (Problem Solver) Marumo is the MD at Tsoga Afrika Insurance Brokers. He qualified as a medical doctor in 1998 and worked in various hospitals until he joined the Military in 2004. During his stint at the military, Pallo was recruited into the prestigious Presidential Medical Unit in 2007 where he was soon appointed as the Resident Commander for the ground medical team of the late President Rolihlahla Mandela. He served in the team until the late President’s passing in 2013. His selfless service in President Mandela’s team earned him one of the greatest honors - the Nelson Mandela Gold Medal in 2014. Pallo is the Co-founder of Tsoga Afrika Investment Holdings and Non-Executive Director at The People’s Fund. He is also chairs the Project’s Committee at Calidris Investment Primary Cooperative – a collective of 400 professionals. In the past years he also served as an Advisory Committee member of The People’s Stokvel CFI – a collective of 3000 members. Pallo is a strong believer in the power of cooperative economics and holds a firm view that a country can turn its fortunes around in just one decade.
